Hey, I moved :-D

I've been at http://jessicrum.wordpress.com for quite a while now. I don't think anyone gets to this site except by accident anymore, but I thought I'd at least make some kind of official statement....

so, yeah. http://jessicrum.wordpress.com is my knitting, craft, life etc. blog.

all i ever meant was to keep you.

I kind of miss blogger. I'm thinking about returning to my poor, neglected blog. In the meantime, I hope you will all understand if simply post a picture.

2007 is so over.

Ten good things that happened in 2007 in no particular order:
-I learned not to take myself too seriously.
-I knitted my first sweater.
-I had my first wedding anniversary.
-I learned to value a clean living space (note that I didn't I say achieved it!)
-I went to Mexico.
-I realized that I haven't truly been loving my neighbor, and I figured out how to do it for real.
-I experienced my first "real" summer vacation and it was most excellent.
-I learned how to appreciate my husband and how to love him unselfishly.
-I improved my eating habits.
-I learned a little more about trusting God's timing and being patient.

Note that when I say I learned something, I really mean that I am still learning it. Obviously I have a lot left to learn about knitting, trusting God, loving my husband, etc. I think it's encouraging to recap the good things, especially since we tend to focus so much on the negative things in life. I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas/New Year!
Happy 2008!

burnt out.

Sorry guys, but I think I'm going to call it quits for now. This is by no means the end of blogging for me; I just need a break.
*sigh*
I feel better now. If you really need something interesting to read, head over to Amy's blog. She is recording her awesome English Adventures there.

a couple of interesting quotes from Lolly

"Make something bad happen to me whenever I try to pet or lie on something soft and fluffy. It's a good trap."

Google is taking over the world.

I have a picasa web album, too! I like it better than flickr in some ways, particularly where storage space is concerned. I took off all non knitting-related photos from flickr and I am moving them to my picasa web album.
I have to use flickr in conjuction with the aforementioned knitting site, ravelry. That's why come I'm leaving the knitting photos on flickr.

Knitting post

I really like this website: Ravelry.
I know that most of you who read my blog do not knit, but let me tell you, this really is a neat website. Just in case you knit, you should check it out.
(My username is fluffymoonhair, btw.)

Mexico was great.

I have returned from Mexico. (I went to Mexico.) I had a great time, but I got tired of taking pictures before we even got there, so I really don't have many pictures to share with you. However, Amy does.
We had dozens of entertaining adventures.
Amy was almost eaten by various creatures. I contracted a friendly Mexican stomach bug. We both stupidly bought too much stuff and had a heck of a time getting it all home. We swam in the most beautiful river in the world and ate lovely food (which made me sick) and saw awesome mountains and so many cool things that I don't think I can blog about it all.
It's nice to be home, though.

For David Thompson

David Thompson sent Ryan and I a bunch of silk flower things from Hawaii. He mentioned wanting to see pictures...
